Vincent's Backpack - 30

A trail of papers was strung across the abandoned temple’s plaza. Although it had remained empty for hundreds of years, it still saw some visitors who looked for a shady hideout close to town. Such was the case for Nate and Chuckie today, who were sitting on top of one of the buildings as they rummaged through Vincent’s belongings for something interesting. However, only notes and books could be found in his backpack. “… This is the worst haul I have stolen this week. This wasn’t worth the chase.” Said Chuckie. “Tell me about it…” says Nate. Chuckie gets up and carries on. “It’s like that sometimes. We can go back to town and find another poor idiot.” He says, as Nate continues to empty the bag in a hopeless attempt to find something interesting. A ragged piece of paper falls out from one of the books.
